3 Data Management concerns WEM solves:

Time-to-Market, Compatibility, Costs

Business-critical applications often rely on data available within an enterprise. Creating applications to manage all this knowledge is often experienced as daunting, Chief Knowledge Officer Rob ten Kroode explained in last week’s blog. More specifically, illustrated in an IDC InfoBrief, commissioned by Alterex, organizations have 3 concerns stopping them to switch from stand-alone spreadsheets: long implementation times, lack of compatibility and high costs.

WEM, the most advanced no code Platform as a Service, easily tackles these issues enabling application modeling characterized by: 1) short time-to-market, 2) combability with other applications and 3) low costs.

1. Short time-to-market
Due to time and budget constraints, IT can only selectively service projects and department information needs. Traditional application development requires months and months of sprints before an application is launched. WEM reduces this time-to-market to weeks. Take WEM Success Story: LTL Woodproducts. Bas Bouman, System and Application Manager: “With WEM I’ve developed the basic system myself within only three weeks, without needing any external help […] the application went live within four weeks”.

WEM is a web based application interface, in which real time modeling is easily done with the use of drag-and-drop and simple interactions. Team Lead of Knowledge Management VGZ, Henk Jansen: “We went from complex and time-consuming coding to a clear and visually attractive application […] The structure and stable basis offers many opportunities for the future”. WEM empowers users to co-create and to intuitive reduce learning curves and a rapid time-to-market of applications.

2. Compatibility with other applications
To enhance scalability, reduce IT costs and improve overall business efficiency, integration is among the top priorities of businesses when creating applications. With WEMs Point-and-Click characteristics, anyone can easily integrate their projects with a huge variety of systems. Bouman from LTL Woodproducts: “The application I built in WEM exposes real-time stock information. Customers can login, see all available products and stock-amounts and immediately place orders […] This is so fast and easy compared to what I’ve experienced in IT”. WEM can be used alongside and integrated with overall corporate IT structures and other software already in place.

3. Low costs
WEM is a win for both IT and businesses as a whole: With WEM there is no need to use up your IT department’s costly time to model “simple” applications based on organizational processes probably best understood by that business unit specifically anyway. 7Senses founder Madelon Eelderink: “It was published in no time […] We didn’t have to outsource the development of the platform to an external IT-company. This enables us to learn and develop with the growth of the company”. WEM only requires a small selection of functional designers and limited time, reducing traditional development costs to a minimum.

The IDC InfoBrief indicates there are large gaps between the importance of data and analysis integrity compared to what business users can achieve in, for example, spreadsheets. Recognizable? All WEMs Customer Successes show businesses’ desire to derive insights from data, more specifically a desire of business users to be able to prepare and access this data in applications without requiring help of the IT department. The no code Platform WEM empowers all business users – from large enterprises to SMBs. Enabling rapid application time-to-market, compatible with other applications and against low costs.
