WEM Wrapped 2024: A Year of Innovation, Impact, and Industry Leadership

From key events across Europe to transformative partnerships, this year has been one to remember. Here’s a look back at some of the pivotal moments that defined WEM’s journey in 2024. 

WEM kicked off the year with a major presence at CONNECT24 in Leeuwarden, one of the largest ICT events in the Northern Netherlands. In collaboration with Getronics and Welten, we demonstrated how creativity, diversity, and curiosity are key ingredients in shaping the future of application landscapes. WEM’s focus on industrializing software development was front and center, as we engaged with organizations eager to tackle their most pressing digital challenges. 

In March, WEM participated in ESEF Maakindustrie at the Royal Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, a key event for the manufacturing industry. Together with EsperantoXL, we showcased the transformative power of no-code application development. Manufacturing professionals were invited to join us at Stand B046 in Hall 4, where we shared insights on how no-code is revolutionizing industries like theirs. It was an inspiring event where innovation and practical solutions came together to address the challenges faced by the sector.

WEM’s participation in Zorg & ICT at the Royal Jaarbeurs was a highlight of April. In partnership with PragmatiQ, we showcased several success stories of our no-code platform’s impact on the healthcare sector, with topics such as EHR systems, data exchange, and digital care taking center stage. This event underscored how no-code technology is a driving force for sustainable and future-proof healthcare solutions.

In April, WEM, alongside SOWEDO and HeadFirst, hosted a memorable event, “Make Magic Together.” This intimate and inspiring morning brought together industry professionals to explore how WEM’s no-code platform empowers organizations to tackle their toughest challenges. Special thanks to Marc B. and Natasja Spooren-Wassenaar for their contributions in making this event a success, along with Arjen Postma for his insights into the value WEM provides to Arval BNP Paribas Group.

On June 19, WEM took part in the Overheid 360° event in Utrecht, showcasing our no-code and AI-driven platform for public sector applications. In partnership with Infinity IT B.V. and SOWEDO, WEM’s booth highlighted over 200 no-code applications we’ve built for government organizations. We engaged with public sector professionals to demonstrate how WEM enables efficient, secure, and scalable solutions for digitizing government operations.

In May, WEM was at the FoodTech Event in Den Bosch, partnered with PragmatiQ to showcase how no-code solutions are revolutionizing the food technology industry. Our live demonstrations at Stand 209 highlighted how Vital Food Group’s sandwich store management application, which operates across 375 Shell gas stations, is powered by WEM. The energy at the event was electric, as we engaged with numerous prospects eager to see how WEM could help innovate their business processes.

WEM wrapped up the first half of the year by showcasing its power at the Vakbeurs Facilitair & Gebouwbeheer event. Alongside ilionx, FacilityXL, and Noclaims, we demonstrated how WEM’s no-code platform is transforming operations in real estate and facility management. Our booth, featuring live demos, allowed attendees to experience firsthand how WEM drives efficiency and innovation in these critical industries. 

September 10 marked the launch of No-Code Kennis Connect, a collaborative event with ilionx. This networking event gathered key partners, clients, and industry enthusiasts to discuss no-code technology’s growing role across sectors. Participants had the opportunity to hear from leaders, exchange insights, and learn how WEM’s no-code platform is enabling innovation. Special thanks to the ilionx team for their exceptional support in making this event a resounding success.

WEM participated in the ICT & Logistics 2024 event at the Royal Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, where we demonstrated how WEM is reshaping the logistics sector. Partnering with ilionx, we showcased how logistics companies can automate workflows across transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to see how these innovations will shape the future of logistics. 

At Enterprise UX 2024, WEM’s own Luuk Schellens, Senior Account Executive, participated in a thought-provoking panel discussion on the role of User Experience (UX) in no-code application development. The panel highlighted how no-code platforms like WEM are making it possible to deliver both functional and user-friendly applications at scale, addressing the growing demand for seamless user experiences in enterprise software.

One of the major highlights of 2024 was WEM‘s participation in the Industry 4.0 Made Real Roadshow, organized by Sirris in Belgium. As a key partner, WEM showcased its contributions to the development of a new Industry 4.0 model factory, which serves as a cutting-edge example of how digital transformation is reshaping manufacturing operations. This event, with its focus on leveraging smart technologies such as AI and IoT, allowed WEM to highlight how its no-code platform is accelerating the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions for manufacturing businesses.
